2.1. Student Report

2.2. Principals Report
Principal Hinrichs and Principal Mezger gave an update on recent activities, school improvement and assessments.

The Board liked the schedule and are glad the kids can enjoy the day on April 30.   Mr. Garcia, Mr. Schluter and Mr. Stark are the sponsors, and the class will take and pay for a charter bus.  The Seniors last day of school is May 2.

The Board realizes that wages need to be competitive.  All classified staff will receive at least a 3% increase in pay.

Superintendent Meyerle noted some upcoming summer work that includes furnace replacement, water line repair, and cafeteria chair replacement at the HS.

 

5. Superintendent Items

5.1. Superintendent Report
Superintendent Meyerle gave an update on the elementary remodel.  He also reported on copier companies bidding for the contract at school.  Superintendent Meyerle complimented students on recent success in activities in Speech, FFA State qualifiers, the Boys Basketball team on a successful season and reaching a District Final, and the Girls Basketball team on qualifying for the State Tournament.  Congratulations to Myleigh Weers on scoring over 2000 points in her basketball career.  She is one of 19 girls in state history, regardless of class, to score over 2000 points in a career.

The HS is set to host the third annual MUDECAS All-Star Basketball games on March 22.  The games are sponsored by Diode Technologies.

7.1. Committee Reports
The Board discussed the upcoming NRCSA conference.

7.2. Q and A with KSB Legal Counsel
The Board had a Q and A session with Bobby Truhe and Steve Williams from KSB School Law.  The Board appreciated having the time with Mr. Truhe and Mr. Williams, and thanks them for attending.

President Clifford adjourned the meeting at 9:00pm.  The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 14, at the elementary at 7:00pm.
