2. Board of Education Items

2.1. Approve bid for Elementary Entry Remodel
Motion to approve base bid of $477,000 from Rogge Construction for the elementary entrance and office remodel to enhance safety and security. Passed with a motion by Adam Engelman and a second by Stuart Vitosh.

The Board hopes that the work can begin in January or February.  Renderings of the remodel will soon be available on the school website.

Superintendent Meyerle noted that the project needed to be done and if the Board did not approve the bid, he would have to return $75,000 in grant money that can be used solely for this project.  Money for the project will come from the Special Building fund, so it is not money that can be used for salaries, curriculum etc.
