2.1. Student Report
Jadyn Hajek and Ashley Duis reported on the beginning of the school year and fall student
activities.
2.2. Principal Report
Principals Hinrichs and Mezger reported on teacher evaluation schedules, MAP testing, and
School Improvement goals.
3. Personnel Items
Superintendent Meyerle reported that he was advertising for an elementary custodian for the
second semester as Joyce Carpenter is retiring from a cooks position and Jen Wendland would
move to the position of being Head cook.
4. Support Service
4.1. Technology Update
Principals Hinrichs and Mezger reported on the Digital Citizenship presentation by Bobby Truhe
of KSB School Law. The presentation is a valuable lesson for our students.
4.2. Facility Update
Superintendent Meyerle reported on the schedule of receiving bids for the elementary entrance
remodel. He was pleased that there were several bidders. Bids are due on September 19 at 2pm.
He also noted he was planning on having new windows installed in the north wing of the HS in
the summer. A similar project was completed at the elementary several years ago.

Superintendent Meyerle will be registering Board members for the Fall NASB conference.

Motion to approve the 2024-2025 School Budget Passed with a motion by Kasey Murphy and a

Superintendent Meyerle was pleased that the operating budget would only increase by 3%

Motion to approve the 2024-2025 Tax Request Passed with a motion by Angie Clifford and a
second by Stuart Vitosh.

Superintendent Meyerle was pleased that the levy would drop by a little over 10 cents from
.716242 to .610995 and that the overall tax request would be reduced by $191,009.

President Kostal adjourned the meeting at 7:28pm. There will be a Special Meeting on
September 25 at 6:00pm at the High School in Odell to possibly approve a bid for an elementary
entrance remodel. The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16 at
7:00pm at the High School in Odell.
