1. Open Meeting

1.1. Roll Call
The absence of Adam Engelman was excused.

1.2. Recognize the Open Meetings Act information

1.3. Public Comment
Representatives from First State Bank Nebraska provided public comment on a school debit card program where the cards serve as a tool to earn money for your school.  The Board will take the request under advisement.

1.4. Approve minutes of last meeting

2. Instruction and Related Items

2.1. Student Report
David McCown and Ben Sohl provided a student report on recent student activities.  Congratulations to the volleyball team for qualifying for the state tournament.  The volleyball program has qualified for the state tournament 9 of the last 11 years.  Congratulations to the football team for their playoff win vs. Leyton and qualifying for the second round of the playoffs.

Congratulations, as well ,to the FFA Milk and Dairy Team that placed 2nd at Districts, to Joely Weers who qualified for State Land Judging, and to Joely Weers who participated in the National FFA Band.

2.2. Principals Report
Principal Hinrichs reported on recent activities.  Principal Mezger was at the Pioneer Conference meeting for All Conference volleyball and provided a written report.

3.1. Accept resignation of Deena Day from teaching position effective at the end of the school year

The Administration and the Board thanks Ms. Day for her five years of service to the district.  She is a very good teacher and will be missed.

Superintendent Meyerle reported that some of the elementary entrance remodel will begin in December.

5. Superintendent Items

5.1. Superintendent Report
The Board and Superintendent Meyerle thanked Mr. Hinrichs for his work as a first year Principal.  The addition of the position at the elementary has been very well received.

Superintendent Meyerle will contact KSB School Law to schedule a two hour session for the Board to ask questions of one of the school attorneys.  This will serve as a good refresher for current Board members and will be very valuable to new Board members joining the Board in January

5.2. Discuss Annual Safety Audit
The Board discussed the Annual Safety Audit conducted by Bruce Lang.

7.1. Committee Reports
Superintendent Meyerle provided his committee recommendations for 2025.  The Board will approve the recommendations at the January meeting.  The Board is scheduled to attend the annual Nebraska Association of School Boards Conference in November.

7.2. Annual Superintendent Evaluation
The Board conducted the annual evaluation of Superintendent Meyerle.

President Kostal adjourned the meeting 8:10pm.  The next regular meeting is scheduled for December 9 at 7pm at the elementary school in Diller.
