College/Careers and Budgeting
Probability and Stats students finished a little early this semester, so we spent the last week talking about college/careers, and budgeting. They looked up their career choices on-line, and expenses and income once they graduate. I do this every year with one of my classes, knowing that they often "over-estimate" their income, and "under-estimate" their expenses. I can lecture all day to them, but they just don't believe me.. This year is no different. I save their budget "charts" in hopes that someday, after reality sets in, I can give it back to them to see if they were close. (Or to say, "I tried to tell you......")
In all honestly, I just hope they learn something from their research, and our discussions.
