STEM Club Helps Sponsor Movie in the Park
The STEM Club sponsored a movie event in Diller in October in coordination with the Ribbon Cutting for the Diller Park renovation. Over 100 people attended the event to watch Hocus Pocus in the city park, eat a meal provided by the Diller Community Foundation, and enjoy concessions presented by the Youth Service Camp Kids. Last year the STEM Club put in for a grant to purchase equipment to hold outdoor movies. With the grant, we purchased a large 20ft outdoor screen, a smaller 14 ft screen, generator, and sound and projector equipment. The Diller Park movie was the group's first run and went over well. The STEM Club looks forward to being able to show more movies to the public and even to the elementary students in the future.
