STEM Camp 2024
On Tuesday, June 11th, and Thursday, June 13th the Diller-Odell STEM Club hosted a STEM Camp. The Tuesday camp was held in Odell and the Thursday camp in Diller. Preschool -6th grade students were able to come to either camp day. There were a total of 40 students who participated in camp.
There were four different activities for the students. These activities were learning about mimicry and being birds trying not to eat the poisonous bugs by picking out M&M and Skittles, looking through owl pellets and discovering what owls had eaten through the bones, building an Alka seltzer rocket, and creating zip lock bag ice cream. It was an enjoyable two days for both the STEM helpers and students, even though the heat and humidity messed with the ice cream.
