Miss Reba Hestermann
Hello my name is Reba Hestermann and I am the 5th grade teacher and head volleyball coach here at Diller Odell Schools. I am very excited to get this year started. But first, I would like to share a little bit about myself with you!
I grew up in Sterling, Nebraska, a small rural southeast Nebraska town. I grew up on a farm and am still very involved in it. I have been in the Diller Odell School district for 6 years now. Before teaching at Diller Odell I taught at Crofton Community Schools. I have two younger sisters and a wonderful mother and father whom I love spending time with. I am also getting married this year to Nolan Dresen. I graduated with honors from Doane College and continued my education by completing my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in reading intervention.
My hope is to create a classroom community/ team where all students and athletes feel safe and valued. I believe it is within this kind of environment that kids can be successful. To further ensure each child’s success, I will use a variety of teaching/coaching strategies to meet individual needs. Every student and athlete I work with are important to me. I am excited to have my students actively involved in their learning and see what discoveries we can make together. |
