Principal's Hinrichs and Mezger provided reports on the start off the school year.

4.2. Facility Update
Superintendent Meyerle reported that the following projects were completed in the summer: New water line installed at HS, new furnaces installed in parts of HS, new lockers installed at HS, and painting updates at HS. The following projects are still in progress but will be completed soon: Entry renovation at the elementary and installation of bus cameras.
The elementary is scheduled for new furnaces where they are needed for the summer of 2026. Both buildings will continue to transition to LED lighting in the next year, with some of that work done over winter break this year.
There are no new projects are on the horizon. Facility work will consist of repair work for the next two years.

Superintendent Meyerle reported on budget work. Numbers will be firm once valuations are in. The Board will have a budget review meeting on August 20. No major purchases are planned.

7.1. Committee Reports
The Board discussed whom was interested in attending the NASB conference in November. It is a very good conference for Board members to become more educated on legal issues, insurance, and legislative issues.

President Clifford adjourned the meeting at 7:45pm.
A Special Meeting on Americanism and Budget Planning will be held at 7:00pm August 20, 2025 at the Elementary School Media Center in Diller. The Board of Education will usually adhere to the sequence of the published agenda, but reserves the right to adjust the order of items if necessary and may elect to amend the agenda as deemed necessary.
The next Regular Board meeting is scheduled for 7:00pm or at the conclusion of the annual budget hearing and tax request hearings on September 8, 2025 at the Elementary Media Center in Diller. The 2025-2026 Budget Hearing is scheduled for 6:30 pm and the tax request hearing at 6:45pm or at the conclusion of the budget hearing. The Board of Education will usually adhere to the sequence of the published agenda, but reserves the right to adjust the order of items if necessary and may elect to amend the agenda as deemed necessary.
